IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR CURRENT CALIFORNIA EPPICARD
You will automatically receive a new card called the Way2Go card to replace your current EPPICard if:
- You received deposits in the past 36 months, or
- You performed a transaction in the past 36 months and have an account balance of at least $100 on your Electronic Payment Card.
Here are some facts regarding your account and new card:
- New funds will not be deposited to your EPPICard after July 21, 2020.
- New deposits on or after July 22, 2020 will be added to your new Way2Go card, if applicable.
- You may continue to use your EPPICard until September 9, 2020 to use any of the remaining funds on the card.
- All remaining funds on the EPPICard will be transferred to the new Way2Go card on September 15, 2020.
- Be sure to PIN your new Way2Go card upon receipt to activate it. You can expect to receive your new card by 2nd week of July.
- For your security, you must select a new User ID and password to access the GoProgram.com website and the Way2Go mobile app. The Way2Go mobile app is available for both IOS and Android devices.
- If you need any assistance after receiving your new Way2Go card, please call the Way2Go Customer Service center at 1-844-318-0740.
- Remember that you cannot use your existing EPPICard after September 9, 2020, and you must PIN your new Way2Go upon receipt.
If you have not:
- Received deposits in the past 36 months, or
- Performed a transaction in the past 36 months and do not have an account balance of at least $100 on your Electronic Payment Card you will NOT receive a new Way2Go card to replace your current EPPICard.
- You must call our Customer Service Center at 1 (877) 777-1617 if you believe you may have an invalid or incomplete mailing address on file.
- You must spend down all funds remaining on your current EPPICard before September 9, 2020
- If funds remain after September 9, 2020, you will not be able to access them through the card. You must contact our Customer Service Center at 1-844-318-0740 to receive a check for any remaining funds in your account.
- Funds not obtained through the card or by check will be returned to the State’s Unclaimed Property Department once the dormancy period has been met.
